Inspired by his favorite movie, John Sall set out to make the best-yet version of JMP. “JMP 16 is sweet,” he said, “but JMP Better is best.” This new version of JMP lets you collect your data anew every day, lets you try new experiments and make new products without incurring costs, lowering yields or going out of spec. While earlier versions of JMP are already being used for these things, if you have a failed run or blown batch, you can always try again tomorrow with JMP Better.
Said Sall, “We’ve had a whole lot of bad days in the last year, so the timing is pretty good. In fact, as a species, humans have lots of mistakes to learn from, which translates to a lot of room for improvement.”
Upon announcing the new release, Sall suggested a refresh of the “Great Software in the right hands can change the world” branding campaign. His suggestion: “The statistical software in the correct hands can make the planet ok.” Luckily, Sall said he’d leave branding campaigns to the marketing team.
An upgrade already planned for the first dot release: Robin Better’s voice will accompany the splash screen. It will say, “Welcome to JMP Better” in seven different languages... all of them with a southern United States accent.

Stan, this is the version after JMP Better, we need something superlative for the future:)
