Improving MES Historian add-inHello,
we have a Champion requesting help to know if it is possible to do the following.
He built an add-in which connect to MES Historian, he select tags on the left panel (available tags) and drag&drop on the right panel (selected tags for query on servers).

Unfortunately tags (short name) are a bit obscure so he would have the ability to see the long name (with additional descriptors) to help operator selecting the right tags.
Is there a way to add a window with the long name, connected to the tag (short name) for visualizing detailed descriptors ?
He wants to know if it possible and be directed to any help rather than spending time searching for it.
He doesn't want to post on Community to avoid competition knowing where they are in their data analytics journey.
Thanks for the help. Emmanuel
Re: Improving MES Historian add-inHe wants to know if it possible and be directed to any help rather than spending time searching for it.
Maybe this is a one-off (in which case I offer sympathy as JSL help is often difficult to find), but if this is the customer's default philosophy, I'd submit that perhaps (s)he is of a temperament ill-suited to happily writing addins.
I digress...
There are a couple of easy ways do this... toggling an outline box and hover tips. The attached script illustrates both. Click the button to show/hide the table, hover over an item in the listbox to show the tip.
Cheers,
Brady
