<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />Hi Damien,
Please accept my apologies that you missed my earlier message in the JMP User Community.
I suppose that I (wrongly) assumed that everyone was receiving email from activity in the User Community which is the default behavior.
We do want to keep as much content from the steering committee in the Community as possible as it provides us a way to record and archive discussions for future reference. We (SAS and JMP) have become a large and diverse organization with needs to federate responsibilities. As new people join the Committee or our organization we want to be able to provide them background and a record of previous conversations.
Please check your JMP User Community preferences<> to ensure that you’re receiving email from the Community.
Please let me know if you have any questions or difficulties with the options there.
As to the specific issue with Mia Stephens’ paper, we can add it as an alternate. We’ve already had one speaker decline, so we’re down one alternate. I’ll add Mia in as an additional alternate and if needed we’ll get her paper in the conference.
Again, please accept my apologies that you missed my message.

Hello all,
Have you seen this comment below, that Jeff wrote on the jmp.usercommunity website on Nov 9. ?
I am just seeing it.
For the future, I would suggest that when important decisions have to be taken, such as deciding the final set of papers to be accepted, we communicate by emails and/or confcall instead of comments on the jmp.usercommunity website.
Personally I wanted to push the paper from Mia Stephens (Teaching Statistics to Non-Statisticians using Simulations and Resample Methods) but I understand from Jeff’s comment that this is too late.
This is too bad, since this paper was initially in the top 10 with a mean of 3.82… ☹
Best Regards
Damien

Thanks to everyone who was able to join our call a couple of weeks ago.
There were some tough decisions to make but you all did good work.
Here are the papers after some input from us on the papers from SAS. Please comment if you have strong opinions about any of these papers or papers that may not have been chosen. Of course, any paper that was not chosen can only be included by eliminating one of the accepted papers. So, if you make a request, please be sure to suggest which paper it would replace.
Regarding the papers in the Life Sciences/JMP Clinical, chris.wells.cw10<>, we're going to ask Eggbert and Enrikas to cut their talks to 30 minutes. If you think your presentation would make for a more diverse slate of papers in this area, please let me know and we can swap yours for one of theirs.
As for posters, ALL presenters who were not selected will be offered the chance to present a poster.
Finally, we need to finalize this slate as soon as possible. So, please reply here with your assent or dissent by the end of this week.
Thanks,
-Jeff
