Better legend for points+lines?

I create a lot of graphs using markers connected by lines.  Unfortunately the legend shows double the number of entries, with a set for the markers, and another set for the lines.  Is there a way to combine the two?  I.e. show a line through a marker in the legend?

There's no way to combine them, but I usually go to the Legend Settings and turn off all the marker entries (select them all and click on any selected checkbox).
