I wanted to see if you’ve tried creating JMP web reports.
Creating useful JMP reports is all about sharing and making them visible to your right audience.
We can now even go a step further by sharing Interactive HTML for Web and Mobile. And you don't need JMP to interact with these reports.
Web reports are a great way to frame the story of your data and share it remotely.
When you click on the thumbnail of the graph in a web report, the interactive graph appears in a new web page.
If you want to combine and link a set of reports into one page you’ll need to create a dashboard and either export that dashboard as interactive html or include it in your web report that I’ll demo next.
Some graphs can be displayed as interactive HTML (for example, bubble plots or background maps).
Let me demo the steps in JMP 13.
Select Help then Sample Data Library and open SAT By Year.jmp.
I’ll create an additional Graph Builder report with SAT cores by year.
And because I said I’d demo including a Dashboard in this web report, I need to quickly create one.
I’ll Select New then Dashboard and include 2 reports to combine. I’ll save that to my Data Table.
Now. Run the Graph Builder Map, the Bubble Plot by State and Dashboard scripts.
From any JMP window, select View then Create Web Report.
In the Select Reports window that appears, you can select one or more reports to display in the web page. We don’t want all of these.
Edit the folder name and location to save the web report files. This will be the folder you’ll .zip and email or upload to a shared server or web site. So naming it right here is a time saver.
Click Next.
You can now customize your Web Report.
I’ll add my own logo.
The reports are presented in the order you created them.
This is critical step to stop and organize if you’re telling a story and need a linear presentation.
Use the arrows next to the reports to rearrange them.
Enter your desired title in the Web Report Title box.
Click Build Report.
The web page opens in your default browser.
Try if for your self using the SAT by Year Sample Data or this linked data table below.
