For years JMP’s Sales and Customer Care groups have partnered with SAS Education to offer hands-on workshops designed to speed adoption, expand use or introduce new features that ensure existing customers are getting the most out of their software investment. During normal times, many of the workshops are held either at SAS Training Centers or rented third-party locations. These days, though, the workshops have moved entirely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While there’s undoubtedly benefits for gathering face-to-face with customers within a geographic location, given the feedback we receive from customers after these events (like the examples above), virtual workshops seem to be working just fine.
JMP offers two versions of these complimentary Hands-On Workshops. “Jump-Start with JMP” is designed to build or expand JMP skills for new or novice users. The workshop is highly interactive and provides the perfect opportunity for customers to quickly build analytic skills using JMP. “JMP Accelerate” helps more experienced JMP users gain a deeper understanding of the software and discover features they may not have used yet. The event is intended for users with at least one year of experience using JMP and provides expanded opportunities to ask questions of technical staff and to share knowledge with fellow users. A new workshop, “JMP Into Quality” will be available starting May of 2021. SAS Education instructors partner with JMP Systems Engineers to provide instruction for all of our hands-on workshop offerings.
Workshops are always complimentary and “by invitation only” with JMP Sales teams given an allotment of free seats to offer customers. (JMP Customer Care has created 1:1 emails for Sales to use.) The workshops encourage users to upgrade or expand their JMP usage or helps speed the buying process, going a long way to cementing or further embedding JMP into an account.

Last week was a busy, but exciting one for the workshops with one Jump Start with JMP and one JMP Accelerate workshops offered to customers in the US and Canada. Nearly 100 customers registered for the events.
