Hi JMP,
Run JMP 12.1. Since missing get included in each case the total is wrong and so the percents are wrong.
This is the sister report to 7611598849 which is for single response.
The attached file has a multiple response coded in three typical ways that survey vendors may indicate missing values. There are two scripts saved in the file. Please run both.
For Multiple response asking to see the missing values with “count missing responses” checked gives a good report on two of the three variables. Here is part of it. There are two missing values and the total responses is correct at 12, total cases is correct at 9 and total cases responding at 9. For Multiple response, a blank is really blank versus for single response( numeric) a blank is a dot. So the third variable will give 10 total responses, 9 total cases, and 7 total cases responding. In the third case, JMP has been asked to count missing. On total responses missing is not counted 10 vs 12. Total cases includes the two blanks (missing) to make 9. Total cases responding does not count the missing at 7 versus 9.

Here is the same report but “count missing responses” is unchecked. There are two missing values and the total responses should be 10, total cases should be 7 and total cases responding should be 7. “Not Answer” and “7” level should not be shown. Take a look at the two script reports. In the below report we are asking the missing responses to not be included. Therefore the total responses should be 10, total cases should be 7 and total cases responding should be 7.

We appreciate all you do.

This was addressed in JMP 12.2.
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />This is being addressed in JMP 12.2. Missing Value Codes in Multiple Responses will be honored.
This is an important outage because it is a barrier to our CMK organization's transition to JMP. When do you anticipate a fix for it?
