View images linked to a folderIn JMP12, the ability to view and import images in to a data table was included. I'd like to propose to have similar functionality to TIBCO Spotfire, that allows one to view the images that are in a folder connected to accompanying data in a table. This will allow the ability to sort the metadata of image analysis data and view the resulting image(s). Ex. show images that have an area above 25mm2.
We have 100's of images that are often >1MB, so imbedding them will make huge data tables. A folder or filename reference would be great. The size of the images can be viewed from Thumbnail to full resolution.
Re: View images linked to a folder - Status changed to: DeliveredThe code shown above now works in JMP 14.
Re: View images linked to a folderThis JSL will work in JMP 14 to build a table of clickable links.

<<SET folder=""></SET>Re: View images linked to a folder - Status changed to: Coming SoonYou will be able to build something like this with JMP 14. I'll post an example below.
Re: View images linked to a folder<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />Hi Michael,
Yes the table has many columns of metadata associated with a filename column. An example would be filename, view, stain area, stain location, Ave R, Ave G, Ave B, Soiling Y/N. What would be great would be able to sort based on all pad only images view, all the soiling yes, then by decending stain area. Then the display of the image could be another column as a thumbnail with the ability to expand it to a large 1024x768 or fullsize image.

Re: View images linked to a folderCharlie,
Are you saying that you have a table that already contains all of the metadata (e.g., area, etc.)? The filename could be stored as another column in that metadata table. Then we could potentially write a JMP add-in (or similar) that would look at which rows in the meta-data table have been selected. The filenames in the selected rows could be opened in a Report output window.
Maybe a little more detail on what you're trying to do would help. You may be talking about having JMP recognize that the cursor is hovering over a particular point and to go open the associated file on that kind of a mouse event, and if so that might be beyond the scope of what we could script into an add-in.
