Hi,
At almost every Mastering session, we get basic questions about how to save reports and graphs that you demo, which can detract from the main topic and message. So, I answer in the background and send attendee link to documentation.
The constant questions suggest a hole in our Mastering offering. and some of you have also said the topic comes up frequently with customers. Yes, the advantage of JMP is its interactivity, but many customers have reasons for also saving outside JMP.
1. Has anyone done a full session for customers on this topic? If so, can you share journal and ideas?
2. Does anyone want to present a Mastering session (with journal, files, etc. so people can practice afterwards) in August or September?
I have drafted a description as a starter. Inputs welcome.
Saving and Sharing JMP Reports and Graphs
JMP lets you save your analysis to the data table as a script, so others with JMP can recreate, explore, and modify analyses and accompanying graphs. See how you can also save all or selected parts of JMP reports for use in other documents, programs or slide shows. Learn how to save.png, .jpg, .gif, .eps, .emf, .pdf, .tiff, and .svg. Learn the basics of saving to JMP Journals, JMP Projects, web reports, JMP Live and JMP Dashboards.
The webinar covers: Selecting, saving, and sizing graphs and reports.
Thanks Bill.
This is a tough one because there are so many options, but probably two types of Reports. 1) Using Stat platforms where people may want to save graphs and tabular reports and 2) Graph Builder where they want to save the pretty graphs and keys/labels.
Based on questions we have gotten, people want to save for refereed pub, PPT, put in Word docs. And they need to understand when they need to edit in JMP first and when they can resize or pretty up in the program where they inserted the graph or report. That is, sizing and formatting pre-requisites and expectation.
Will you look at the description and edit if needed, please. How is Friday July 30? Or if not, Friday, August 6?
Again, grazie mille!
