2/15/21 update. Ross Metusalem helped me debug the Mac issue. On a Mac, you will have to mount a volume for the shared folder. When you see the prompt, select the "public" option and enter login credentials.
=================
This is an early access version of the JMP 16 Training Starter. I still plan to release the normal training starter in a few weeks but this will get you access to something similar now. I also added code to make a local copy of files that are opened. This will help prevent conflicts on the shared folder.
The full release version will be better and there are a few limitations with this version. It doesn't appear to work on MACOS. It requires VPN. It will be a bit slower than normal (maybe a lot slower in Europe and Asia). I'm also a little worried about conflicts more than one try to access the same file at the same time.
The normal addin packages all the files inside the addin. This makes it fast and independent of VPN (or even internet connection). This version pulls the files from a public drive and this is the cause for all the limitations.
The reason for going this way now is that files are being added daily and building the traditional addin would be frozen in time and would quickly be missing many files.
You will notice the addin will load with the suffix "Early Access" and this is a reminder to replace it with the real thing in a few weeks.
Let me know if your run into issues.
