Lithium Social Intelligence
Lithium, the software behind the Community, provides a built-in reporting platform, called Lithium Social Intelligence (LSI). All SAS Employees can view these reports and export data from there. You'll find a link on the lower right of the community home page.
Using LSI we can get a list of the top 10 (or more) most viewed pages in the Discussions forum. Here they are as of today:
Looking at this list can provide some ideas about where we could focus our efforts to make the software easier, document it better or provide supplementary materials like videos, blog posts and tips and tricks presentations.
You'll notice the Solutions Views column in the table above. That's an indication that the post has a reply that's been marked as an Accepted Solution. This is important, especially for these pages since we can assume that most people visiting these pages are looking for a solution. Stan and I try to make sure that all the popular pages have a solution.
The attached data table, TopConversations27Jan17.jmp has the LSI data for the top 2000 most viewed conversations in the Discussions forum. Take a look and see what insights you find.
Google Analytics
Another source of information for us is Google Analytics. Using GA we can see the top landing pages in the Community. These are the pages that are most often the first page that a user sees when visiting the community. These pages represent our first impression with these users.

Not surprisingly, there's some overlap here but there are some surprises. Who knew the Dickey-Fuller test was so popular?
Again, we try to make sure that all the top landing pages have solutions.

Value Analytics Survey
You may have noticed that we're prompting community visitors to share something about their experience with us through what Lithium calls the Value Analytics Survey. We turned this on just a couple of weeks ago but we're already seeing some interesting results.
This survey asks visitors why they were visiting the community and whether they found what they were looking for. Admittedly at this point these are very limited results and we should draw too many conclusions but still it's interesting to see that ~80% of visitors are successful in finding what they are looking for.

The full survey results are attached in ValueAnalyticsSurvey25Jan17.jmp. There are other questions in the survey. Take a look and see what you can find.
Thanks to all of you for your participation in the Community. It clearly makes a difference for our users.
