Execute SQL ignores output if not a tableI can connect to a SQL server with JMP to extract tables.
The problem I have is that if I execute a SQL command that prints a single value (e.g. current datetime from the database), I am unable to get it as a string.
I am using:
Execute SQL()

ScriptingRe: Execute SQL ignores output if not a tableMaybe you can output a table instead of print in SQL query.Re: Execute SQL ignores output if not a tableI tried that by creating temporal table on demand, but any output that is not a table (i.e. inserted row) will return null.
Using Query() you can specify the argument to be returned as 'Scalar'.

However, I am not sure how to use this Query() to the ODBC connection I have.
