EOY Survey Results
Thanks to everyone who completed the EOY Product Management surveys on training and resources. Here's what we learned and how we are planning for 2021:
- Most of you would like us to continue training sessions at a similar pace. We are looking to do around 2 trainings per month.
- A lot of you requested a continuation of industry and competitor trainings - these were the highest ranked. We will keep moving forward covering more industries and competitors along with some more sales specific items.
- People have asked that we have a more consistent format for the training resources that are posted in the community. This will be a focus in 2021.
- A lot of people asked to make the time of the trainings consistent or at a time that works better for them. Because these trainings are intended for a global audience, I typically select a time that works best for the presenter as long as it covers two regions (ex Europe and Americas or Asia and Europe). Please note if you are not able to attend the live session, we always post the recordings here.
- With these trainings we are hoping to kickstart a sales onboarding program that will build on these individual sessions. More info to come later on.
If you have ideas or suggestions on how we can improve training, please reach out to @saradoudt.

- JMP Quality and Process function designed for Six Sigma DMAIC approach
- Not only for quality department, but also can be used for operation related function teams
- JMP's quality capabilities can be used throughout entire DMAIC process
- There are many other JMP functions can be used for “Quality” purpose as well, like: DoE, ANOVA, Hypothesis Test, Reliability

ICYMI: Product Management 2020 Recap/2021 Plans
This week we shared a page that listed product management's top 10 from 2020, providing a recap of what was new or what changed over the year. In addition, we listed out what our team is looking to accomplish in 2021:
- JMP 16 Launch: Ensure we have a successful launch by continuing to build out resources and training for our Sales teams to effectively discuss benefits of the new features.
- Industry-Focused Approach: Product Management will be leading the effort to shift programs and content to better support our key industries, ensuring that each department within the division is aligned in those efforts.
- STIPS: Make it even easier for companies to get STIPS by providing new avenues to access and customize STIPS content for their organization.
- EA Program: Continue to drive engagement with the JMP 17 EA program with key customers across the globe by engaging with them. (HINT: We would love help from our sales teams to start recruiting now!)
- JMP Clinical: In 2021 JMP Clinical will be offered as a JMP-only solution (meaning it will not include/require SAS), which should help customers install it more quickly due to a smaller application footprint, as well as allow for evaluations and an EA program.
- Sales Training: Continue running the sales training series with a strong focus on industry, looking for ways to use this series for onboarding purposes.
- Resource Library: Maintain resource library to ensure that we are providing useful content for our Sales teams, building new resources to fill any product knowledge gaps, making all content easy to find and easy to understand, ensuring consistency between pages.
- Partner Program: Find better solutions/methods to collect accurate data from each of our partners as well as continue education student licensing.
- Thought Leaders: Bringing in partners, SME, thought leaders to meet with Development teams to share their expertise to shape and guide development.
- Processes and Communication: Continue to define/streamline/facilitate the flow of information from customer to Development to Marketing/Sales.
For more details you can review each team members goals here.
