Time Series Forecast Not Working

Hello, 

Under what situation will the time series not forecast? For my current dataset I am getting an error above my time series stating 'Model is unavailable'. Is this due to not enough data points? When fitting a line of best fit I am able to forecast these results in graph builder. 

Please let me know what can be done in this situation.

  I used a different table to recreate a similar error and started with trying 4 data points (as that's what it looks like you have in your screenshot). The Time Series Forecast platform failed when there were fewer than 6 data points. However, the Time Series Analysis platform can handle it. I'm not sure if that other platform can do what you need, but the smaller data set that it appears you have might be better used in that platform.

Correct. In addition, the data requirement of a model is the number of parameter plus a constant. At this moment, the constant is 4. The simplest model in the platform is ANN or MNN, which have two parameters: alpha and initial level. So it appears length 6 will work. But if the length is 6, all models that are fitted are ANN and MNN if you use the recommended specification. And other models are ignored.
