Over a year ago, the idea was floated about providing the same functionality of the Discovery Summit Add-in Tool into the Community.
The add-in provides two sets of functionality:
- Search by specific fields (e.g. author, year, subject)
- Create a data table/journal
The search in the Community provides similar results to the add-in but does not allow searching within a specific field. One thought would be to combine all Discovery presentations into a single TKB using labels for year and location. Using the label app (assuming it can incorporate translation), you can filter on multiple labels. There might be a potential for sorting by author (though that might be more complicated).
I believe it would be possible to perform an API call equivalent to a search (though not exact) so that a user could download a CSV file of the results. More investigation/discussion would be needed to determine if this should be pursued/implemented.
Anyone else have thoughts/ideas?
