Have a Question for Development at Kickoff?
In preparation for the virtual town hall that product management is hosting at kickoff, we are looking to collect questions from the division. In the virtual town hall session you'll hear about some of the exciting projects teams have been working on over the last year, and what they are most excited about in the coming year. If you have a question for any of the development team members listed below, please send a note to Sara Doudt with your question and if there is a specific person you would like to hear the answer from. Please send your questions to Sara by January 6th.

R/Python Training
Thanks so much to Ben Francis for presenting on R and Python this week. Ben did a great job of highlight where open source solutions such as R and Python are effective and how to position JMP. Some of the key takeaways:
- SME is often not the R or Python coder. "Dear Management: Do you want your people to be coders, or do you want them to be people who solve problems?" (mic drop)
- JMP can be seen as a threat to those who are R/Python coders. Move away from gatekeeper (R/Python users) towards enablement (I want to keep my job so therefore R and Python need to stay)
- Cost of software vs cost of people/time
- One of the most critical quality issues in software development, especially for analytical software, is the accuracy and reliability of results. Quality statement vs open source solutions. JMP provides trust and security.
- R and Python are competitors for all of our products (JMP, JMP, Clinical, JMP Live...)
If you happen to miss this session, please refer to the R/Python Training Page where you can view the recording and review key points from the session. To see more information on most of our competitors, please refer to this page. To see what other training is planned, please refer to the training schedule.
Following up with JMP Subscriptions
The JMP Subscription Dashboard has everything that you need right now to follow up with customer ahead of their subscription renewal. To get to the raw data, click on the comments icon and then download the subscription raw data as a JMP table. This has contact information and renewal date as well as territory data. For 2021, ahead of the first subscription renewal however, the Digital Operations team is working on reports for each territory, which will show their subscriptions due for renewal in the next 60 days. The first subscription renewal is 2021-02-03.

Feedback Requested: Responses Due Today!
A note was sent out to sales asking for feedback from a few of our efforts that were new this year - the Product Management community space and the training series. We would like all of our sales team members to complete both surveys listed below. Each survey should only take a few minutes to complete. Your feedback will help ensure we are providing sales teams with the right tools, resources and training going forward. If you have not already done so, please complete both of the surveys by 12.14.2020.
