(Question) Multiple File Importing for JSON coded; whilst files extensions are differentHi,
I am struggling to convert some dataset of XML and JSON into JMP.
I am currently using JMP15.1; so I have import wizard all ready.
Current problem is that I can open up with designated col & row setting for those files extension changed from ".prc" to ".json", manually.
* my tool generates files in json format, yet with extension name differently (=.prc).
However my target is not to go through those conversion process, and obtain filtered rows and columns from files DB.
# So, if I change the attached .json file extension to .prc; JMP will not be able to read it properly.

or
Use "Load Text File()" to read in each file, and save it to a $TEMP sub directory, using "Save Text File()", with the .json file extension and then read the in the Mulitple File Import
JMP can easily return all of the file names in a folder, and from there, you can do the rename or the copy.
Re: (Question) Multiple File Importing for JSON coded; whilst files extensions are differentYes. MFI depends on the extension matching. In addition to Jim's suggestions, the open() function can also open one file at a time and override the extension.
open("$desktop/big class.jsonx","json")
open("$desktop/big class.jsonx",jsonwizard(1))In the second example you can use the source script from a previous import rather than jsonwizard(1); the wizard dialog won't come up that way. Concatenate data tables has some JSL to help automate the process over many files.
