Bootstrapping in JMP 15In JMP 14, you could right click on the values in the output to obtain bootstrap confidence intervals. However, in JMP 15, this no longer appears to be an option. Does anyone know if JMP removed the bootstrap option completely or if they moved it to some other location?

- If you have JMP Pro, you can easily find bootstrap forest under menu "Analyze", and then "Predictive modeling" : Bootstrap Forest.
- If you have JMP, the only way to perform a bootstrap forest is though the use of the "Predictor screening" platform. It won't give you all the details (accuracy metrics of the model, visualizations, profiler...) and flexibility of the "Bootstrap Forest" platform (customization of the number of trees, of split conditions, ...), but you'll have access to the contribution of your factors depending on your response.
It might be a good option to consider if you want to challenge results coming from a decision tree if you don't have access to JMP Pro.
Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15Your best bet is to contact JMP sales staff to see what your options are.
Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15Just to clarify so there is no way to do bootstrap forests in JMP?
is there any way i can get a license renewal for JMP pro?
thanks,
Sabrina
Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15Oh i see that.
Strange that my university offers a JMP "Pro" Windows and Mac version. I installed the MAC version which does have "Pro" mentioned in the "about" and the bootstrap does work.
But, the Windows version does not have "Pro" mentioned. Maybe I should mention the differences to the IT at the university and see if they can contact JMP about it.
Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15Look at the bold line right below the blue banner, mine says "JMP (R) Pro 15.2.1", and yours says "JMP (R) 15.2.1". I would email JMP Support.
Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15Here's my "about":

It looks the same as yours. I don't see a difference.
Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15
Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15In the programs list on the computer, it does mention "JMP Pro 15". Can someone that has JMP Pro 15 post their "about" to compare?

Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15Based on the 'about 'screenshot from your message on DEC 6, 2020 1:10 PM it does not look like you have JMP Pro. As @txnelson suggested I believe that is the issue. I would make sure you have the windows installer files for JMP Pro and run the install again. If that doesn't work this look like an issue for support.
Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15I have come to the end of my ideas on what the issue could be. Hopefully another Community member will have an idea, or you could contact the JMP Support folks.Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15Yes.

Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15Are you running JMP Pro?Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15When I was able to get the bootstrap as an option in JMP 14, clicking on the words was different from clicking on the numbers. In this case, I am definitely right-clicking on the values. Bootstrap simply is not an option for me. I've tried it on my home computer as well as my work computer.
One thing I did find is that for JMP 15, bootstrap is an option for the MAC but for my Windows version, it is not an option. I may try to uninstall and reinstall JMP to see if that helps.
Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15Try right clicking over the statistical values in the column, not the names of the statistics
Also, the documentation indicates that it is JMP Pro only
Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15I updated to 15.2.1 and it's still not showing there.

Re: Bootstrapping in JMP 15Here is an output from a Distribution Platform in JMP 15.2, and the Bootstrap option is present
