Please Complete the Product Management EOY Surveys
A note was sent out to sales earlier this week asking for feedback from a few of our efforts that were new this year - the Product Management community space and the training series. We would like all of our sales team members to complete both surveys listed below. Each survey should only take a few minutes to complete. Your feedback will help ensure we are providing sales teams with the right tools, resources and training going forward. If you have not already done so, please complete both of the surveys by 12.14.2020.
Tableau Training
A huge shoutout to Wendy Tseng for a great sales training session this week on Tableau. Here were some of the key takeaways:
- If you want to only have a description of what happened, Tableau is fine. But if you want to actually understand why things happened to then make improvements, you will need JMP.
- Tableau and JMP will most frequently co-exist
- Tableau is a reporting tool, great for executives because of aesthetics
- JMP is needed in order to design new products, processes and solve problems
- JMP Live is needed in order for scientists, engineers and analysts to seamlessly collaborate
- Ask the same questions you would to Tableau users as Excel users: How are you doing root cause analysis? Are you using designed experiments to innovate? How do you determine product reliability?
- Organizations with Tableau Server: make sure they are aware of JMP Live as a way for collaboration and sharing of statistical output

STIPS Update
- Translation work continues, and we're on target to complete translation into Chinese, Japanese and Korean mid-December
- We have over 25,000 total enrollments globally
- STIPS data have been added to the Samples directory in JMP 16 at the request of customers

JMP 16 EA
- Installers for EA 8 will be available next week. This will be the last EA release.
