Hi,
I am newbie to jmp. I may have repeated question, please guide me accordingly. my question is, in JSL can we manipulate data while importing from excel? for example, can I make certain column in excel to row while importing only? Or can I make certain row as column? Or any such kind of manipulation is possible while importing? if yes, please guide me?
Input excel could be
| Segment | Country | Product | Units Sold | Manufacturing Price | Sale Price | Gross Sales |
| Government | Canada | Carretera | 1618.5 | $ 3.00 | $ 20.00 | $ 32,370.00 |

| Midmarket | Mexico | VTT | 2470 | $ 3.00 | $ 15.00 | $ 37,050.00 |

Thanks in advance
Yes, this question has been asked before. I found it by doing a simple search for "import excel" and one of the returned suggestions was this .
I think it can not be done "while" importing, but after importing.
So if you once have read in the Excel file in a jmp table, you are able to do all sorts of data manipulation, and JMP offers quite a lot.
You "simply" need to combine the two actions into one script.
To start, the best possibilty is usually to do the first job via graphical user interface, and save the source script.
Then do the second job, and e.g. the resulting table again has a source script, that reflects that change.
After that you can try to combine both scripts into one, in many cases this works already.
