Recognizing or counting private tablesIs there a way to see what private tables exist in an instance of JMP?
When testing scripts, there may be some private tables still kicking around that I hadn't closed yet. While i can do a blanket close, I am more interested in which table still exist in private to better track what I did and make improvements.
Another use is when i have a function that makes private tables I want to be able to do a quick spot check that the tables all closed - ideally without having to build a special return into the function.
ntable() seems to only cover visible tables
Thanks!
Data TableScriptingRe: Recognizing or counting private tablesThanks @txnelson and @Mark_Bailey!
I didn't find that function in my search (I am guessing cause my searching in the index could still use some work
... but I doubt I would have connected the dots to really utilize it.
I'll be able to put it to good use. Thanks again!
Re: Recognizing or counting private tablesPrivate tables are returned from Find All() as
Scriptable[]
while Visible or Invisible tables are returned as
DisplayBox[DataBrowserBox]
Therefore one has to use different methods to get to the names of the Visible, Invisible and Private table names. Here is a little script that works for me
allTables = find all(data tables,project(0));
for(i=1,i<=n items(allTables),i++,
if(char(allTables[i]) == "Scriptable[]", allTables[i] = allTables[i]<<GET name=""></GET>
Re: Recognizing or counting private tablesDoes this function help?
