Hello,
I have two seasons of field data measuring the effects of ants on lady bug abundance. My treatment is ants (present or absent), the response variable is lady bug abundance, and I measured abundance once a week on the same plants for four weeks each season.
I tried to use the univariate repeated measures example in JMP as a guideline but that doesn't account for two years of data. How do I perform repeated measures for two field seasons to see if "year" matters in my experiments? I would appreciate any help.
As an example, my data set is formatted as such:
Plant ID Treatment ladybug Abundance (Response) Time (Weeks) Year
1 ants 26 1 2019
2 ants 45 1 2019
3 ants 32 1 2020
I have 20 plants or reps per treatment per year. So n = 40 or 20/treatment each year. The experiment was conducted in a different field in 2020. My data is similar to yours, except for the ants I have "present" or "absent". In both years I collected the data during the same weeks (during July).
