Save 3D Surface Profiler as Flash ObjectI am trying to find a way to save the 3D surface profiler as a flash object, as can be done for 2D profiler. I would like to be able to share the dynamic plot (allowing for rotation) with collogues who do not have JMP because I do not find static 3D plots very useful.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!
GraphicsRe: Save 3D Surface Profiler as Flash ObjectJMP ceased using Flash as a 'sharing' technology several versions ago. Adopting instead Interactive HTML. Not sure which version of JMP you are using...but if it's old and I'm thinking like version 10 or earlier...you may still be able to cobble something together. Version 15's Graph -> 3D Surface Profiler platform does not yet support Interactive HTML.
Maybe somebody has some other suggestions?
Re: Save 3D Surface Profiler as Flash ObjectUpdate: I am running JMP 14 Pro, which still allows you to save as .SWF, but question applies similarly to HTML reports. It's too bad 3D surface profiler isn't supported by either.
Thank you for the suggestion of 2D plot with data filter, but unfortunately that won't show the saddle shape of the surface, which is the central takeaway from the plot.
Re: Save 3D Surface Profiler as Flash ObjectIf JMP still allows you to save as flash, then here's something you might want to try. I'm going from memory on the exact workflow when JMP was actively using Flash...so maybe my workflow is flawed...but it's close and maybe someone can find my mistakes and fix them? As I recalled, if you saved the report as an .swf file, then opened another application like PowerPoint and embedded the .swf file as an object within the presentation, you get the dynamic interactive performance.
I also recall this workflow would 'work' sometimes, and not others...but it might be worth a try?
