Overview
This case study looks at a mixture of active molecules important as potential topical HIV barriers. The two molecules are the topical microbicides Stampidine (STP) and HI443. Since concentration of active compounds is critical to prevent HIV infection an accurate assay of each molecule present in a sample is critical. HPLC is well known within the biotech space for its ability to separate mixtures of analytes for manufacturing or assay purposes. Specifically, the goals of this experimental series are to seperate the analyte peaks in the spectra and tune their shapes to get the best possible quantification of each in the sample.
Customer Facing Abstract
Let’s face it, experimentation is expensive. The funny thing is that it’s a bit of “a pay me now or pay me later” situation. Experimental Design can make the experiments you run more effective and give a better ROI on the money spent. This case study looks at the different capabilities of modern experimental design and how they can be used to make sure your development budget is well spent.
