Most of us that use Macs should be managed by SAS IT, which has restricted the upgrade to the lates macOS -- Big Sur. I'm sharing this on behalf of Shannon and Mandy from our JMP testing group:
"Folks may know this but I’ve had a few folks reach out asking about downloading Big Sur and the answer right now is STOP no don’t, not yet.
Hunter said he’s had some crashes come in with JMP 13 and 14. Not 15 so far, but, there is also a number of things that are not ironed out yet with connectivity. This yammer page has a lot on it:

I just worry that some of the sales and marketing folks will grab it and be angry when JMP doesn’t work the same way. In the past I’ve usually grabbed it and played with it a lot and shared my knowledge. This time with WFH – I don’t want to mess up my connectivity...so I’m waiting too.
Just thought you might want to share this"
In order to prevent your Mac from upgrading automatically -- please uncheck the "Automatically keep my Mac up to date" option in the System Preferences. I'll make sure to keep this thread up-to-date as I learn more.

If you'd like to keep track of JMP incompatibilities, you can follow this defect.
