I see where you can use the "mail" script to send a JMP data table to people, and I see that certain processes permit setting up "alarms." I am running processes on JMP Pro on a second computer located thousands of miles away. I don't like to constantly log onto that computer virtually because it means I can't use internet on my own computer, so what I do is set up the script on my work computer, hit run, turn off screen sharing, and check back on the job later. Logging onto that computer is a 5-step process and takes 5-10 minutes (i.e., it's inconvenient), but I DO want to know when the job finishes, so I can proceed to the next step of the analysis. If it possible to have my other computer email me the finished analysis (i.e. the saved, updated data table) so that I am not having to constantly log on and check? Ideally, I would set up 5-6 scripts in a row, but that is getting ahead of things. Can you script an "alarm" when a time-consuming analysis is executed?
Try putting 'Mail()' as your last JSL statement. For details, see here.
