Sales Highlights
Huber+Suhner AG (23 Oct 2020 – DACH T2)
Huber+Suhner AG, the Switzerland-based company that develops and produces components and system solutions for electrical and optical connection technology, recently added 35 JMP licenses to be used in four countries.
In early 2019, Alexander Beck and Martin Demel visited Huber+Suhner for the first time after learning that a longtime JMP user had just joined the company. Alex and Martin realized this was an opportunity to introduce JMP to the rest of Huber+Suhner. Alex says, “We discovered that there was very little awareness about the benefits of statistical data analysis since they depended mainly on Excel, with a few Statistica users.”
At first, Huber+Suhner management was reluctant to consider JMP, but Alex and Martin convinced their contact to start small and grow adoption by demonstrating success with a single license in early 2019. This strategy worked, and by June 2020, Huber+Suhner had 12 licenses.
But Alex and Martin weren’t done yet. They continued to support and encourage their contact to use the learning and training materials that JMP offers to train his colleagues in statistics and data analytics. Alex concludes, “By providing instructor support materials for STIPS, we helped our champion position himself as the statistics lead within the organization, which allowed him to convince management to introduce JMP as the standard application for statistical data analysis. This led to a multi-entity deal with 35 licenses in total: 20 in Switzerland, five in Poland, five in China and five in India.”

Macronix International (02 Oct 2020 – HMT T1)
Macronix, a leading integrated device manufacturer in the non-volatile memory (NVM) market that provides a full range of NOR Flash, NAND Flash and ROM products to its communication, computing, industrial, automotive and networking customers, recently added one JMP Pro license.
An existing JMP customer, Macronix had been using its two JMP licenses for process development. Orcas Chen says, “Macronix had been using Graph Builder to define wafer patterns for process control, but they needed additional muscle to identify key factors in devising new process development. Because Macronix wanted to know more about machine learning in JMP Pro, Eric Wang demonstrated its powerful machine learning application. As a result of this demo, Macronix bought one license and plans to use its predictive modeling function to unearth key factors. We will provide technical support to help the Macronix team improve its process and plan to promote the benefits of JMP Pro to other teams.”
- Product: JMP Pro
- Amount: $17,210
- Integral Players: Orcas Chen, Eric Wang
