Hi, I am very new to using JMP and have what is probably a very elementary question. I am trying to use the mixture profiler to model the viscosity and cost of a three component liquid mixture. The cost is be a simple linear function of the three components and I am approximating the viscosity of the mixture as also a simple linear function of the viscosity of the components. Obviously this is a very simple problem and probably doesn't require the full power of JMP, however it's quite useful to visualise. What is bugging me is that the cost contour on the mixture profiler does not seem to match up to the correct value. As can be seen in the attached picture the cost contour (blue) is set to 2, however it is showing in a different place to the cursor, which according to the 'Current Y' is at a cost of 2. The viscosity contour (red) doesn't have this problem.
The prediction profiler has no such issue in this example either, so the predicted formula for cost (which is simply a replication of the cost formula in the data table) would appear to be fine.
Is there something simple that I am missing or is this a bug?
Thanks in advance for any help,
David Gillespie
