Confidence interval for one sample proprtion

I reviwing the one sample 0.95 tI for a proportion, if one follows the text description we would use:

p +/- 1.96 SQRT pq/n

Resuts from JMP do not collaborate the result using the equation above, Plus, the mean for the LL and UL is not p.

Can anyone tell me why JMP provides different results>

Please post an example of what you are talking about. When I produce a 95% confidence interval for a proportion, I indeed get the textbook formula result, except for possible rounding differences. So, you need to show an example of what you mean.
