Discovery Summit Munich 2020 Call for Content

Dear Steering Committee members,

After a very successful Discovery Summit Copenhagen 2019, JMP has now started preparing for Discovery Summit Munich 2020.

Here are key dates for Munich:

August 8: Call for content opens.
October 25: Call for content closes and Steering Committee begins deliberating.
Mid-November: Conference registration opens.
End of November: Selected presenters are notified.

We will announce call for content as usual, with emails and promotion via social media. However, we welcome any ideas you have to spread the word about call for content.

As you can see, call for content will be open for quite a long time, but we would like to get submissions as soon as possible. Please respond with thoughts you may have on encouraging submissions early.

If you would like to discuss ideas on a call, please let me know, and I will set up a phone meeting.

Hi Jeff and members of the Steering Committee,

Regarding your point of encouraging people to submit their contributions earlier, I just came up with this idea:

People need to see a benefit in submitting earlier, so what about giving an additional discount to the attendee fee if and only if the contribution is selected to be presented. The earlier the contribution was submitted, the higher the discount.

Also, I think that if the contribution wont make it to be a presentation but "just" a poster, there should also be a little discount for the attendee (but a fixed one, not depending on the time of submission).
