comparing means in categorical: why does the sig. letter pop up only in later columns?<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
Hi,
I know that JMP is using a 2-tailed T-test for the comparison of means.
Now if Column A is different from D at a 95% significance, isn’t column D also different from A at 95%?
So ideally, column A should also have a capital D under it, shouldn’t it?
But right now only column D shows a capital A.
Why would that be?
Re: comparing means in categorical: why does the sig. letter pop up only in later columns?Got it. thanks Melinda!
Warm Regards,
Saurab
Re: comparing means in categorical: why does the sig. letter pop up only in later columns? In early versions of JMP 11, we did put the letters in both columns.
At P&G request, we started putting the letter only in the "winning" column (i.e. the column with the larger mean). to make the report look less cluttered.
