Images on axis of bar graphs?<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />Hi all,
I have created a bar plot in Graph Builder to look at mean Y variable vs. a categorical X. I also have a column containing images. These images are a 1:1 mapping to my categorical X variable. I would like to display the images along the X axis, instead of the levels of my categorical X. Is there a way to do that?

Re: Images on axis of bar graphs?I just spoke to the HTML team leader and he said they will likely add the images to the rollover for the bars (in HTML) in a future release. It is on their list but unfortunately they are unable to get to it in the Version 13 time frame. He was happy to hear someone was asking for it.
Re: Images on axis of bar graphs?John,
Thanks. This is useful.
I noticed that in JMP 13 if I save the Graph Builder as Interactive HTML and leave both the bars and points on the graph that the images will display when I hover over the points but not over the bars (and if I don't have the points on the graph, then I can't see the images at all). Can we add the display of the images when rolling over the bars on an interactive HTML save from Graph Builder?

Re: Images on axis of bar graphs?I'm not aware of any way to get the images to appear on the axis. But you can get the images to appear as part of the rollover tooltip and then pin the tooltip so it remains in the graph. Set the image column as a label (right-mouse click in the column header and select Label/Unlabel). Then add points to your bar graph in Graph Builder. You need to add the points so you can rollover the point with your cursor and get the tooltip to pop up. The tooltip will include your image. In the upper-right corner of the tooltip is a pin. Select the pin and the tooltip, along with the image, will remain. In version 13, you won't need to add the points. You can get the image as part of the rollover with the bars.
