Importing JMP dataset with excluded rows in SAS<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />Is there a way to process properly in SAS an imported JMP dataset which has excluded rows? SAS creates a new variable _rowstate_ but from what I read on SAS web page it is not meant to be acted on (whatever that means). Nonzero value for _rowstate_ is created for any saved action on a row (e.g. highlighted). Given all of that, is there a way in SAS easily to remove the rows which correspond to excluded code?
Thanks,
Alex
Re: Importing JMP dataset with excluded rows in SAS
The _rowstate_ column is the numeric representation of the bits that represent various states.
The second bit is the one that indicates the Excluded state. You can use the format BINARYw. in SAS to get the bits. You'll have to do any analysis in SAS on a data set of the rows are not excluded.
I'm attaching a data table showing the mapping of the first 255 _rowstate_ values.
