Columns that contain newline characters (e.g., \!n and \!r) cause problems when trying to drag into platforms. One of my colleagues observed this trying to drag such columns into Categorical.
I was able to fix this with the following script, but this kind of programming is out of the range of capability of most of the people I work with.
dt=Current Data Table();
For(i=1,i<=N Col(dt),i++,
name = Column(dt,i) << Get Name;
name = Concat Items(Words(name,"\!n\!r"));
Column(dt,i) << Set Name(name);
);
Request: If illegal characters are being put into column names, JMP should automatically strip them. OR, if the character is legal, all platforms should accept it.
