Sometimes I have to combine a lot of excel files which having same format. But "Import multiple files" menu will not work well for excel files. So I wrote a JSL for it and I would like to share it here. I attached add-in file as well as JSL. Once install the add-in, you can call the JSL anytime with Add-ins menu.
The JSL will work when all excel files in the directory having same format. It starts with selecting one excel file from the directory and open it using excel import wizard. Then the script gets excel import settings and files list in the directory. Finally, open all excel files (.xls, xlsx, xlsm) in the directory then combine them. Final datatable contains source files column at the right end of the table.
