Hi Folks,
The agenda was:
A ‘round robin’ on activities you have invented or practice that will help drive delight and attendance at JMP Discovery North America, in October.
The following are resources gleaned from this exchange (some will follow shortly):
Sara Doubt has kindly offered her note page from her best practice sessions with sales here:

Tom’s Donnelly of the Federal Defense team kindly shared a slide deck of ideas for promoting Discovery.
Rob Lievense of the Federal Civilian Team shared a topic by target list with some cool summary scripts in a JMP table. You could use this as a template with your team for targeting. It’s attached as “Fed Civ Team Webcast Series Attendees Anonymized.jmp”
Finalized Scheduling and papers are up and running now, kindly shared by Jeff Perkinson. Here is that link:

Branded and lovely virtual backgrounds are recommended for all JMP employees for Discovery so attendees know we are JMP employees, kindly shared by Holly Connors. They are here for your downloading pleasure:

Jeff Perkinson generously shared the ‘Simu-Live’ list of topics with schedules in a JMP table. It’s attached as “Simu-liveschedule for SEs.jmp”
Ed Crouch kindly shared the following plan and best practice links for promoting Discovery:
- Promotion Plan for when/what marketing is sending email blast and blogs. (I’ll work to get what their follow up plans are for after the event)
- Best Practices including key dates, recruitment email example, who has registered, how to drive attendance, and various talking points.
An idea was shared of getting your contacts with IEEE memberships of ASQ memberships to share the Discovery links with their mailing lists or listservs.
Jordan kindly shared:
"My team is emailing all our accounts with hand-picked paper recommendations when we have contacts in the company. For those we know less about, making some general paper recommendations."
Jerry Fish kindly shared:
Mike Pritchard (my AE) makes sure to say something about Discovery Summit at every touch-point we have with customers. He gives them the registration link via chat window and asks them to fill it out right then & there. Seems to have worked pretty well so far—we have nice representation from our territory, percentage wise.
And finally, Jeff P. did a great impromptu demo of the virtual 'Schedule Builder' which is customized by each attendee to build an agenda. It is near the end of the recording. The Schedule Builder produces a directory of attendees and we are requested to upload our profile information prior to Discovery.
The recording of the SE meeting is here:

Happy September!
