This is dated September 20 ... I had to watch 30 minutes of this video to discover than it relates to version 13 of JMP and doesn't discuss more modern methods of deploying custom functions.

I seem to only have options to watch this video super-tiny inline or go to "picture-in-picture" and view it slightly larger but too small, but no option to see the video full-screen.  Am I missing something?

some additinoal tricks to get everything SUPER smooth:

- use  AddIns for deployment (and @Justin_Chilton 's cool AddIn for the automatic updates : )

- use the addInLoad.jsl to load the functions automatically

- use Add Custom Functions with the options <  and << Example to document it via Scripting Index.

- use the options  << Formula Category  / << Transform Category to make the functions available in Formula editor and the  New Formula Column menu.

 

-> the user doesn't have to know anything.

he/she can use the functions as if they were built-in one.

super smooth - as long as you don't use projects.

Due to an issue with Namespaces and Projects , you should define a symbol in the root namespace (:::myNs=Namespace("myNS")) to get global access to your namespace

... and in the local Project namespace define a symbol (myNs = :::myNS) to get access to the functions of the root namespace from within the project.

Thanks so much for the tip to double-click the video!  This is unlike any other video player I have ever seen, but at least now I know!
