Improper date format when importing data

Question

Hello,

I am a new user in JMP, and this is my first post here.

I always have problems when importing .csv file with a date format of YYMMDD. JMP interprets it as MMDDYY, and displays the date as MMDD20YY. Is there a way to fix it?

Any assistance is much appreciated.

Thanks

You can double-click on a column header and select format to change the display representation of a date. Various date formats are available including YYMMDD.

You can also change the format when you import the data. From File>Open be sure to select 'text files' as the file type to open and select the 'data to preview' option. A wizard-style interface allows you to preview the data and change formats before it is imported.
