Who's here? Introduce yourselfWe hope this becomes a great resource to for Associates to learn how to do things in JMP, interact with JMP staff, and contribute your ideas to improve JMP via the Wish List. As you come on board, let us know who you are, about your commitment, and experience with JMP!
I'll start. My name is Cameron Willden, and I'm located in Phoenix. My current commitment is with MPD Supply Chain Analytics as a data scientist. Prior to that, I was an industrial statistician in Fabrics (Elk Mills V) and Medical (PHX), and a member of the HR Analytics team. I have experience using a broad set of JMP platforms, and I do a lot of JMP scripting! I look forward to assisting other Associates in this users group.
Re: Who's here? Introduce yourselfGreat to see a new face. Welcome Matt!
Re: Who's here? Introduce yourselfLooks like I'm a year and a half late to this group and chat! My background is in mechanics of materials (not stats!) and spent my first 3.5 years in Core Tech developing new materials (xCOE). But I recently took a new commitment stewarding one of Core Tech's materials databases (EUCLID) and am trying to get up to speed on all things JMP/JSL/Data Science. So watch out for softball questions coming from me!
Re: Who's here? Introduce yourselfHi everyone. I am a process engineer in CT and I use JMP to analyze process data and lab test data frequently. I have put effort into automating this work as much as possible and I enjoy thinking about data structures and how to best graphically represent them. I am more comfortable scripting in VBA than JMP, but I am gaining more skills in JMP with each project I work on.
Re: Who's here? Introduce yourselfHi everybody,
my name is Oliver and it so happens that I also use JMP a lot at work. My primary commitment as a Lab-Engineer in Fabrics (PU3) is to perform method validations for the numerous test methods we have, analyze big amount of test data from different projects and use JSL here and there a little. However, I am not afraid to admit that from all the tools I use, I guess Graph Builder is my favorite one. Although I am using JMP for three years now, there are still so many things I don't know yet and I am looking forward to many discussions and learning through the community. To a great start!
Cheers,
Oli
Re: Who's here? Introduce yourselfHi Everyone,
My name is Mihir Khadilkar, and I work as a statistician in Putzbrunn Germany. I joined Gore about a year ago, and I support CoreTech and PSD here in Germany. My background is not statistics, but statistical physics. I am relatively new to JMP (only learnt after coming to Gore), but I enjoy using all the numerous features of JMP, espcially in JSL scripting. While I am not new to scripting/programming in general, I have a lot to learn about JMP scripting. Looking forward to excellent help and discussions here!
Mihir
Re: Who's here? Introduce yourselfHey there, I'm Kyle Aidukas. My primary commitment is as a QE on the Tube Platform in Flagstaff CT and have been with Gore for two years. I started semi-automated SPC/SPM for the platform. I am also involved with maintaining and updating models which rely on the JMP neural network platform. I would consider myself an intermediate JMP user, and a learner for the stats applied.
Re: Who's here? Introduce yourselfMichael Ringquist here. NPD Associate in Core Tech, doing lots of data analysis, fit modeling, and custom application development!Re: Who's here? Introduce yourselfThis is John Szarka -- I'm a statistician and enjoy using JMP.
Re: Who's here? Introduce yourselfI'm Benjamin Espen, and I'm located in Flagstaff. My current commitment is with the iCOE, developing new businesses for Gore as a quality engineer. I am the engineering reviewer for the computer system validation of JMP needed for the Medical Products Division to use JMP in a regulated environment, and I have created and maintained a variety of JMP scripts within the MPD quality system.Re: Who's here? Introduce yourselfMy name is Lucia Izquierdo and I work in Putzbrunn 5 Germany as a PE. I am to a beginners users too but very motivated:-) I use JMP for interpretation of all the data that comes from our lines through Wonderware. That help us every time there is scrap, a bad part or an improvement or research project. In the past I have had no time to dedicate to show data to others, but I think I am going to change that now!!
Re: Who's here? Introduce yourselfHi everyone,
I'm Kathrin Weger and just like Mirco, I'm working in Burgkirchen, Germany and haven't been with Gore for that long, in my case only about half a year. I'm a process engineer responsible for polymerization and use JMP mainly for process control and in the future probably also for process development. When I started at Gore, statistics and also JMP were completely new to me, but now after two virtual classes with the statistics team, I'm getting familiar with the basic functions and principles of JMP. Thus, I'm always happy about an additional way to learn, exchange experiences and address problems in this community!
Thanks, Kathi
Re: Who's here? Introduce yourselfHi, my name is Mirco Lang. I am working as a Quality Engineer at the Burgkirchen site of Gore. I am also relatively new with joining Gore 1 1/2 years ago. As QE I am using jmp. frequently for analyzing production, process and lab data. Although I am familiar with statistics and made a lot in the past, I used to work with other software solutions. I recognized jmp having its own logic but offering lots of fancy opportunities and features. I am still just scratching the surface quite honestly. For this reason I am happy to join this community and exchange experiences and questions since it gives me the opportunity to learn and improve my skills in using jmp. Looking forward reading from you in this portal in future! Cheers!
Re: Who's here? Introduce yourselfHello Everybody!
My name is Kira and I am also working as a statistician at Gore. My commitment is to support the Fabrics TechLeg in Germany & in China as well as the PharmBio team in Putzbrunn. Compared to Cameron and Maria I am relatively new at Gore (since last year) and thus also with JMP (but not with statistics!). I am using JMP every day (except for weekends, though!) and I am still learning a lot of new features - hopefully this community helps me on my way to master JMP. I am a big fan of JMP scripting, because this gives you a bunch of additional options (although JMP has already quite a lot of them, but that's how it is: one can never have enough!).
Best,
Kira
Re: Who's here? Introduce yourselfHi, my name is Maria Lanzerath, I am a statistician located in Putzbrunn, Germany. I use JMP since our introduction at Gore in 2002 (best guess), and I am a big fan of the software. My expertise is in graphical analysis, statistical modeling, DOE, SPC, and scripting.
My true favorite is to create sophisticated graphs that really put the message in a nutshell.
