When in dark mode, certain labels (especially in Graph Builder) do not always appear. Also, those who use preferences to set color presets (in the Styles Preferences) get really bad results in dark mode.
This could easily be circumvented with a Mac OS Specific Preference to ignore dark mode. The factory-predefined color presets should also be disabled if dark mode is on, or replaced with color presets that make sense for dark mode.
User InterfaceRe: Mac Dark Mode issuesI understand your desire to decline. As mentioned, we already have a support track for this and we will continue to use support tracks moving forward.
I'm sad there's not more that can be done to handle the issue with color presets, and that it's also not systemically possible to give users a preference to return back to JMP 14 behavior (e.g., ignore OS Dark Mode setting).
Re: Mac Dark Mode issues - Status changed to: DeclinedThanks for this. At this point, we've done everything we can to address dark mode systemically, now we need specific issues raised to address them individually. The best way to do this is to report them to tech support (support@jmp.com).
Re: Mac Dark Mode issuesAlso, I mentioned briefly that I was seeing some Dark Mode issues (not as much as Alex and Emma have seen) at the JMP Day last week. I was pointed to a Cookbook post by @Justin_Chilton - which is great for those of us writing scripts that need to be Dark Mode compliant, but not so great for fixing the issues that are being found in the platforms themselves. Alex's original ticket is full of screenshots and examples.
Re: Mac Dark Mode issuesI should add, @alxh did receive a reply from support indicating the Graph Builder text issues would be fixed but not in the JMP15 series (we wait until JMP16). No indication about the rest of the dark mode issues, though.
