Procedure for editing breakout videos
Jeff_Perkinson
Move folder of videos for one paper/poster into the
Processed videos - editors
only folder.
Add "- in progress [your initials]" to the end of the folder name so other editors know who's working on it.
Create Screen Flow project at same resolution as US-202X-XXX-XXX_shared_screen_speaker.mp4.
Save Screen Flow project into source folder with name US-2020-XXX-XXX.screenflow
Import US-2020-XXX-XXX_shared_screen_speaker.mp4 into Screenflow.
Look for any Editor's notes in the folder with the videos.
Edit video to trim head and tail starting as close as possible to the presenter’s “Welcome”, “Hello”, “Thank you,” etc.
If recording producer’s video is still showing in the shared_screen_speaker view then do what you can to black it out or otherwise remove it (if possible).
Export video at the same resolution as step 2., 30 fps, data rate: 600kbits/sec, single pass x264, AAC audio, 44.1 kHz, data rate: 256kbit/sec, mono.
Name the exported file: US-2020-XXX-XXX [some form of the title of the paper].mp4.
Put the exported video into the "To be transcribed" folder.
Rename the folder for the paper to add "- render done [your initials]".
Move the folder into the Render Done folder.
Use OneDrive to share .mp4 with “People in your organization with the link” and copy link.
Paste links into spreadsheet Discovery 2020 Breakout Videos.xlsx into Video file and Subtitles file columns.
