Discovery Breakout Paper Introductions - Tucson 2019

Attached are the paper introductions for the four breakout rooms. I’ve also included a spreadsheet that lists each breakout room (tabs/sheets at bottom) with who is introducing whom. Please review each document and find your name. Please arrive to your breakout room 15 minutes before the presentation starts. Please meet the presenter, make sure you know how to pronounce names, and meet the JMP staff room host. Each room will be staffed by a JMP employee who is your go to person in case you need something, and they will hold up time cards at the back of the room to keep the presenter on time. You will also facilitate the Q&A session for your breakout presenters.

In each breakout room, there will be printed cards with this information. But print off your introductions and bring them with you in case these cards go missing. Please be sure to check with the presenter(s) to make sure there are no last-minute adjustments needed.

Please note that some of you will need to give instructions after the presentation – lunch instructions, dinner instructions, etc.

Room Reminders:

Remind speaker to take badge off before talking (for photo purposes).
Ask presenter if he/she prefers to take questions at the end or throughout the talk.
Let presenter know that there will be someone in the back of the room signaling 10 minutes left, 5 minutes left, and 3 minutes left for talk. Leave time for Q&A (if it is to occur at the end).
Please ask presenters to repeat the question back during Q&A session. This 1) helps the audience hear the question and 2) verifies that the speaker heard it correctly.
