Discovery Summit will be packed with authors of books hot off the presses. Our keynote speaker is Dan Ariely, author of the best-seller Predictably Irrational and a new book, The Upside of Irrationality. Plenary speaker Kaiser Fung is author of Numbers Rule Your World (as well as the influential blog Junk Charts). And plenary speaker Jeanne Harris is co-author of Analytics at Work: Smarter Decisions, Better Results. We have book signings on the agenda planned for all three of these authors.
But book authors abound among attendees and paper presenters, too. Join us at Discovery here in Cary, North Carolina, and meet them.
José Ramírez, who will present a paper on tailor-made split-plot designs, co-wrote a book titled
Analyzing and Interpreting Continuous Data Using JMP: A Step-by-Step Guide.
Rosemary Lucas, who will attend the conference, is co-author of
Jump into JMP Scripting, a book that gives you the essential tools to create and use JMP scripts.
Tim Rey, who will serve as a panelist in a discussion on spreading analytics use throughout organizations, is a co-author of an upcoming book titled
Applied Data Mining for Forecasting.
Plenary speaker
John Sall, Executive Vice President of SAS and chief architect of JMP, and Ann Lehman, who will attend Discovery Summit, are co-authors of the popular
JMP Start Statistics: A Guide to Statistics and Data Analysis Using JMP. Lehman is also a co-author of
JMP for Basic Univariate and Multivariate Statistics: A Step-by-Step Guide.
Ian Cox, Marie Gaudard, Philip Ramsey, Mia Stephens and Leo Wright together wrote a book called
Visual Six Sigma: Making Data Analysis Lean. Gaudard and Ramsey will present papers highlighting upcoming versions of our software while Cox, Stephens and Wright will attend.
We hope you will attend Discovery Summit to network and benchmark with these experts in statistics, technology and innovation as they share ways to use statistical discovery to solve real problems.
