Summer is over, and you know what that means: This week, JMP staffers from across Europe gathered to assess what worked well in the first half of the year, and talk through strategies for the rest of the year.
“Keep doing what you’re doing. It’s working,” said Dave Richardson. “If you execute on the things you know you need to do
– and I know you can – we’ll make it a strong second half. You’ve increased the use of JMP. You’ve increased the impact of using JMP. You’ve done this at an individual and corporate level.”
“Everybody’s worked hard to do their personal best,” continued Richardson. “That’s the essence of SAS.”
Never far from top-of-mind was the fact that Covid-19 changed the way we interact with one another and with our customers and prospective customers. “We all have been very impressed with the response,” said Todd Hoffman. “Business operations, customer care, marketing and certainly the sales teams--you made the transition as smooth as it could be.”
Adrian Turner described the quick turn-around to an all online business model as phenomenal, citing Discovery Summit Munich as the perfect example. Now Discovery Summit Americas is coming up, he said, and it’s a great reason to talk with European customers. “This presents a new opportunity,” he told sales teams.

A variety of talks in quick succession covered many aspects of JMP business. JMP R&D gave lightning talks about their favorite parts of JMP 16. One session was designed to help teams work better together, and another to help individuals be even more successful in their work-from-home situations. And, of course, virtual social time allowed JMPers to connect socially despite differing geographies and various time zones.
