Z-score test for proportions?

  I'm using JMP 7.0.1; how to do a Z-score test for proportions?

Use distribution of the categorical response data. Then under the red triangle utilize test probabilities. A proportion test parallels a Chi-Square test. If you square the z score you will see the chi-square value.
