How to visualize data acquired over time with different frequenciesHello,
I have known JMP for 8 years but cannot use it regularly.
I therefore find it difficult each time I want to use it and demonstrate to my colleagues the value of the tool.
I came to the forum for the date format and found the solution very quickly in the forum.
So I try my luck with this subject:)
If you have already solved this type of problem, thank you in advance for your help.
During technical tests, the data is recorded with different frequencies due to the different acquisition modules.
So I have at my disposal 2 files (at least) with a time column (which would be the "match" column to join 2 tables).
- File 1: time column (every 30 seconds), data1_1 data1_2
- File 2: time column (variable frequency), data2_1 data2_2
I tested the different options of the "Join" platform, but I cannot get all the points for each data according to the abscissa in time that I chose.
Data TableGraphicsRe: Comment visualiser des données acquises dans le temps avec des fréquences différentesHi @nathalie_baille,
It would be helpful to assist you further if you could provide some observations(rows) from file 1 and file 2 and then some rows of the result after joining file 1 and file 2.
Alternatively, if you could show with a screen shot an example of the data before joining and after joining the community members could help with suggestions on various approaches that might help with your situation.
This would help with looking at the time format column in each of the the tables you want to join to see if that might be a cause for why you are not getting all the points as you expect.

Re: How to visualize data acquired over time with different frequenciesThank you for taking the time to read me:)
I knew that my question was not specific or detailed enough, but it is due to my lack of practice of JMP ...
Here is what I found as a solution to my problem: a function in a complementary column ... sorry i should practice more
If( Is Missing( Col Stored Value( :Name( "Time /s" ) ) ),
Col Stored Value( :Name( "time/s" ) ),
Col Stored Value( :Name( "Time /s" ) )
)
