XGBoost not working/not responsiveDear All,
I recently upgraded to JMP Pro 15 and installed the add-in. I was working through the example data and was able to generate the fold-over validation columns, but when I try to run XGBoost, it does nothing.
Could there have been an issue with the install of the add-in? I tried to uninstall and then re-install, but this did not fix the issue.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
DS
Re: XGBoost not working/not responsiveHi @russ_wolfinger,
Problem solved. Turns out IT sent me the standard JMP license file and not the Pro. With the correct license file, all is working properly and I'm working through the examples now.
Thanks,
DS
Re: XGBoost not working/not responsiveHi @russ_wolfinger,
Hopefully tech support can help resolve the issues.
I forgot to answer your previous question about OS: Windows 10 Enterprise, 64-bit.
Thanks,
DS
Re: XGBoost not working/not responsiveOK, You are the only person I am aware of that is having this trouble so it sure seems like something more general is amiss. I do know of at least one fix coming in 15.1 that I encountered in 15.0 when customizing my toolbar--including adding a one-click icon for XGBoost:) You are in good hands with tech support and hopefully you can find a resolution soon.
Re: XGBoost not working/not responsiveHi @russ_wolfinger,
Unfortunately, there is no message written to the log file, even if I try running XGBoost from the log file window.
It could be due to other issues I'm having with this JMP Pro 15 install, where things don't seem to be working quite right. Right now, I can only have one add-in enabled at a time (and whenever I do this, JMP crashes), whenever I close JMP it crashes, and it's lost all my previous toolbar settings I had generated from 14.
So, I'm kind of thinking part of it might be issues with the install, but not sure. I'm currently working with JMP support to correct those issues.
Thanks,
DS
Re: XGBoost not working/not responsiveHi DS. After you try to launch XGBoost by clicking Add-Ins > XGBoost > XGBoost, are there any messages in the JMP log? (Click View > Log or Ctrl-Shift-L). Also, what version of Windows or Mac are you running?
