Re: Welcome!Russ,
Good afternoon. I have a few users who would like to try out the XGBoost add-in. How can I get them access?
Thank you,
Scott

Re: Welcome!Hello
I'm an engineer who's still working on a rudimentary analysis. Thank you for the opportunity.
Thank you very much for creating a useful Add-in.
I'll be glad to help you if there's anything I can do to help you with.
Re: Welcome!Thank you, Russ. Mid-January sounds great. Happy New Year to you too!!!
Re: Welcome!Hi Marie, Thanks for asking--we actually haven't set any hard deadlines as of yet in order to provide some leeway over the holidays. I'll consult with Mia and Stephanie and we'll plan to send out a reminder within the next couple of weeks. We would love to hear back by mid-January to obtain a first wave of feedback and will give special consideration to early responders. Happy New Year!
Re: Welcome!Russ, how long do we have to provide feedback? I was only able to start looking at the add-in yesterday. I'm sure that the timeframe is posted somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.
Thank you!

Re: Welcome! Thanks a lot.Welcome!Welcome to the XGBoost Early Adopter group within JMP Community. We set this up primarily as a good way to deliver the add-in to you as well as provide a place for group discussions and questions. Please use the following steps to get started:
- Make sure you have a functioning copy of JMP 15 Pro (or the latest beta version of JMP 16 Pro). If you don't please contact your JMP representative right away to get it.
- Download the XGBoost.jmpaddin attachment to this post using the icon to the right.
- Drag the add-in file onto your open JMP 15 Pro and click Yes to install.
- Click Add-Ins > XGBoost > Help to open a document that provides an overview and two step-by-step examples.
- Work through the examples, taking notes on any kind of feedback you wish to provide us, good or bad, no matter how small.
- Try the add-in on your own data.
- Complete the online survey at
https://sas.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bjdXqTsyo0HAegJ
- Optionally post any comments, questions, or discussion threads you would like here in this area. Our EA group is currently around 80 strong, with quite a few of you from some of JMP's largest and best accounts.
I'm personally a big fan of XGBoost and have used it and JMP extensively over the past several years with success in Kaggle competitions and other projects. We've tried to incorporate wisdom learned into the add-in and do a few things differently than standard JMP platforms. The add-in is still rough in some places, and thanks for your patience if you encounter something unexpected. It's been a real pleasure to integrate XGBoost within JMP and we hope you become as excited as we are about synergies between these two powerful software packages!
