Experiences with Fusion Analytical/LC Method Development/Valifdation from S-Matrix?A customer of mine in the pharma space asked if we can build in JMP something like a method validation as S-Matrix provides with Fusion Analytical Method Validation and Fusion LC Method Development. It is used in other departments in that company and as it is quite expensive they asked if we could do that with JMP as well.
I know we can address the QbD and robustness in JMP and it is accepted by regulatory authorities. However I wonder if someone else got customers with Fusion usage or asked similar questions about if JMP can do something similar?
Also I wonder if we have good references we could send to the customer. I thought about the QbD Blogs and of course the quality statements we have. Anything else what you would point the customer to?

Re: Experiences with Fusion Analytical/LC Method Development/Valifdation from S-Matrix?I went to a big HPLC conference a few years ago and S-Matrix/Fusion had a stand there. I spoke with them and they were very nice and also very complementary about JMP.
I think that a big thing about what they do is that they are integrated with the main hardware suppliers. These hardware suppliers usually make it hard to access data to get it into other environments like JMP.
Also, they are designed to work within the 21 CFR Part 11 validated environment. This is a whole other topic and the subject of many other threads. But this is often important for Pharma.

Re: Experiences with Fusion Analytical/LC Method Development/Valifdation from S-Matrix?Hi @Joseph_Reese , they had 4 JMP at that time, and did not add more (actually they went out of business 2018 and changed to Fidelio. I do not know what they have done in this point. The initial questions came up as a "I saw this and can I do this with JMP as well and what is better " type of thing with potential for a new department with a few users. Unfortunately I do not have more information on it.
the paper Stan references shows they compared their software with JMP. S-Matrix have clearly treated JMP as the reference for correct analysis and verified that S-Matrix gives the same results as JMP. It seems that the MLR analysis automation is the key differentiator to JMP, where it would require multiple steps. So it might be good to ask the customer what is stopping him from doing the same thing just in JMP and deploy JMP to the S-matrix users 
(the only reason I could think of is the ready to go analysis vs. some steps in JMP and that might be a stopping criteria if the user is not used to it.

I was wondering what ended up happening in this case. Was the customer satisfied with how JMP could replace the Fusion software or did they end up purchasing both? Any additional info would be appreciated. Thank you!
