Sales Highlights
DreamCIS (01 Aug 2020 – South Korea T2)
DreamCIS, one of the largest contract research organizations (CRO) in South Korea, recently acquired three JMP Clinical licenses.
According to JunWon Park, Mijo Kim, the leader of DreamCIS’ risk-based monitoring (RBM) team, plans to use JMP Clinical to support clients working with CDISC data sets. CDISC is not yet mandatory in South Korea, but several pharma and biopharma companies are expanding their businesses worldwide so DreamCIS is preparing for CDISC business.
JunWon says, “South Korea T2 held several offline seminars last year, including one by Chris Kirchberg on JMP Clinical and RBM. Mijo attended these seminars and decided to introduce JMP Clinical to DreamCIS. She asked for an onsite seminar, so DaeYun and I visited in February to demonstrate JMP Clinical and RBM to her team. After seeing JMP's powerful data management, visualization, analysis, and monitoring capabilities, Mijo and her team were convinced that JMP Clinical would improve the quality and efficiency of DreamCIS’ clinical trial data analysis.”

Dr.-Ing. Max Schlötter GmbH & Co. KG (12 Aug 2020 – DACH T2)
Dr.-Ing. Max Schlötter GmbH & Co. KG., a global chemical company headquartered in Germany, develops innovative and high-performance surfaces and coatings. Recently, Schlötter bought 10 JMP licenses.
Simone Raab says, “In Q2, I got in touch with a former Atotech employee who had begun a new position at Schlötter as a development engineer. He knew JMP, so we just needed to devise a plan to engage and persuade his colleagues and the management at Schlötter to invest in JMP. His colleagues didn’t have much experience using advanced statistical methods or tools, since they mainly used Excel for experimentation and depended on the one-factor-at-a-time method favored by longtime employees.”
Simone and Martin Demel worked with this internal champion to deliver JMP presentations to pique his colleagues’ interest. Simone says, “Using WebEx, we shared success stories from other chemical customers and used demos to show how they could benefit from DOE. We also used our helicopter experiment as a fun example of DOE, which they very much enjoyed. At the end of June, they were ready for the evaluation phase.”
“The overall feedback was very positive. The evaluation began successfully, since most of the people could see the advantage of JMP right away. After using JMP for data preparation, they were delighted by JMP’s graphics and interactivity, especially the visualizations. They also got immediate and impressive results with their first attempt at using the DOE augment function for electrolyte development, proofing an abbreviated design with an improved desirability. As a result of this promising evaluation, Schlötter management approved a 10-user license right away,” Simone concludes.

Phison Electronics Corporation (22 Jun 2020 – HMT T1)
Phison Electronics Corporation, the Taiwan-based market leader in NAND Flash controllers and applications including USB, SD, eMMC, PATA, SATA, PCIe and UFS, recently added six more JMP licenses to the one it bought in 2019.
After using that one license to analyze production data from its foundry and outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) vendor, Phison saw how JMP improved the speed and efficiency of its data analysis. Orcas Chen says, “That one user decided that additional JMP licenses would continue to improve Phison’s analysis process, so six more were added in June. We expect that additional upgrades will happen later in 2020, so we plan on offering more customer care activities.”
